The CLFW runs a transformative leadership journey for the leaders and executives taking part in the two Executive MBA programs at the University of Zurich.

The itinerary invites participants to initially reflect on their own leadership purpose and the passion they feel towards a personal vision of their own. This year, the first module of the program for the 2022-2024 cohorts kicked off high up in the Swiss mountains in September. Under Prof. Dr. Jochen Menges’ careful guidance, leaders explored critical aspects of their own professional journey, actively practiced communicating your vision to inspire others, and set goals that they aim to accomplish throughout the journey. Alain Dehaze, former CEO, The Adecco Group, delivered an inspirational session on Leading with Purpose. Animated conversations revolved around what makes an effective leader, on values in a business context, and on developing a vision for the future.

In a second step, participants are invited to expand their focus from introspective leadership towards thinking about the organization around them. Equipped with inputs on emotional intelligence, leaders analyze and develop strategies to influence and motivate teams, lead across differences to unlock the power of diversity, and shape the organizational culture needed to embrace digital innovation. Participants end their leadership journey with a module dedicated to reflecting what their legacy and lasting impact at the end of their career will be.
