Generating novel insights

Our research studies the human aspects that drive much of what goes on at work — human emotion, motivation, social interactions, and leadership. It unpacks how these forces can be leveraged to improve all aspects of performance as well as well-being, at three levels:

individuals: we seek to understand and improve how people think, feel, and therefore perform, in a changing world of work;

groups: we use human insights to optimize leadership and team dynamics;

organizations: we study the systems, processes and technologies that support human needs and maximize human potential.

Future of Work research prize

The Future of Work is a topic of increasing importance to practitioners. But the Future of Work appears far less in management scholarship than would be expected given its prevalence in society, and research relevant to the topic in management thus far is fragmented. This annual research competition aims to foster management scholarship on the Future of Work by supporting promising research on the topic.
