Lauren Howe: The "human side" of the future of work

HR Professional — 17 March 2023

On the occasion of the “Future of Work Conference” on March 23, Prof. Dr. Lauren Howe, Assistant Professor in Management at the University of Zurich, talked to HR Professional about the social and emotional skills that will determine the future of work.

“Lauren Howe: People are not just passive recipients of what we call "the future of work." On the contrary, they have an active role in shaping it. We decide if and how each technological breakthrough will fit into the workplace, what kind of professional roles should be created as the world of work changes, and what exactly we want the working environment of the future to look like. In short, human values play a decisive role in shaping the future of work, as does the human imagination.”
