Ryan Miller

Ryan Miller is the Head of Research and a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Organizational Behavior at the University of Zurich’s Center for Leadership in the Future of Work. With a background in organizational behavior and organizational psychology, his research explores topics such as leadership and gender, evaluations of leader effectiveness, and leader character. Among other projects, he is currently investigating the antecedents and outcomes related to leaders’ willingness to self-disclose personal flaws, using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

Ryan received his PhD in Business Administration, specializing in Organizational Behavior, from Ivey Business School at Western University. Using interviews, his dissertation examined how women hospital CEOs engaged in agentic and communal leadership behaviors as they ascended organizational hierarchies.

He is also interested in open science and metascience more broadly.
